With this bathroom Carl and Louise approached me and said they would like to go back to old school and were keen on traditional bathrooms.
So straight away I had the ideas or Victorian style taps and metro tiles. However there was a twist.
They wanted to incorporate black, anthracite and light grey colours  into the bathroom.
For me that is not a problem.
First job was to remove the whole bathroom and render behind so that I had a complete shell to work with. Then was completely stripped I cut out all of the hot and cold feeds to the whole bathroom in the loft so that I could start again.
I removed all waste pipes and with doing this I know with fresh drains nothing can go wrong on my side of the job and the flow will be 100% from each appliance in the bathroom.
All brand new pipework was run into the bathroom from above meaning there were no dead legs or original pipework. This for further down the line gives us the best result for second fixing everything.
All wastes were run into the property from the outside. Which completed all pipework in the bungalow.
All walls were then prepped and glued in preparation for the walls to be boarded and whilst we were there Carl asked could we put a brand new ceiling in which wasn’t a big job therefore we removed the other one quickly and efficiently and prepped also. This then gave my team and I a perfect canvas to work from to give them the bathroom they desired.
The bath was then situated in the correct position and seal into the walls ready to tile to the follow day.
All tiling was then completed in light grey metro tiles for the walls and finished in a grout 3000 white. The floor was then tiled in a porcelain Victorian themed tile with a light grey grout.
Once all the tiling was completed we then proceeded to 2nd fix all of the suite to finish the bathroom off before sealing the whole bathroom up.
The suite as you can see was an amazing colour which Louise personally picked herself with a twist of then having all brass ware finished in matt black finish.
The finished product was amazing (one of the best traditional bathrooms that I have fitted) and this couple were an absolute pleasure to work for and have now asked myself to price up the full refurbishment of the bungalow in Woolston for 2020.

As you will see Carl and Louise’s testimonial will be published on my website and social media.
